ESA 50 was created by kelly M
Hi I recently had an ESA50 form to fill in, I sent it about 4/5 weeks ago but I haven't heard anything back. I'm still getting paid in full, but just don't understand why I haven't heard anything from either DWP or been asked to go for a medical any ideas. ?

Hi Kelly M
ESA is an indefinite award with scheduled reassessment based on the Prognosis Date completed by the assessor in their report, so your existing ESA award continues in payment until a new Decision is made.
There is a backlog with the post which DWP are trying to deal with, if you are worried then contact DWP enquiry line 0800169 0310 to put your mind at ease over the festive period.

this is an ongoing claim and this is a reassessment, last time I did one I got a letter within a week to say I had to attend a medical and my PIP benefit was cut, so now is it just a question of waiting for a white letter from ATOS or a brown one from DWP. 5 weeks is a long time to be in doubt
thanks kelly

Hello Kelly
I completed my ESA50 & sent it back recorded delivery. It’s now 14 weeks & counting, I know that’s not much comfort but you’re not alone.

Hi Kelly,
I understand how you feel. I had to wait over 1 year in doubt for my ESA decision, which caused me severe mental health issues.
I was placed in the support group. My reassessment was due in may 2019, I have still not heard from Maximus. But that suits me fine as I still get my benefits.
Good luck with your outcome.
Kind regards.
