Hi all,
Could you tell me what is enhanced pension premium? Also, could you guide me to information on Warm Home Discount? I receive PIP high rate of both components, IIB, and a work pension when I was medically retired. I receive full rebate on my council tax as I suffer severe mental health disease. I am struggling as I have to pay for carers all year, and I have little income left at the end of each month. I hate this system of having to beg them for help, but that's the way it is, so happy you people are there for us to seek advice.Thank you most kindly.

Hi Catfishman
The pension premium does not apply to pension credit or housing benefit. It is paid if you or your partner have reached pension age. It can be awarded in addition to any severe disability premium or carer premium that may be payable.
For income support and income-based jobseekersallowance, the pension premium was originally paid at three different levels: the pensioner, enhanced and higher pensioner premiums.
Pension Premium: you qualify for this if you or your partner have reached pension age but still aged under 75
Enhanced pensioner premium: you qualify for this if you or your partner are aged 75 - 79 (inclusive)
Higher pension premium: You qualify for this if you or your partner are 80 or over; or you have reached pension age and also meet a 'disability condition'.
Warm home discount, you could get £140 off your electricity bill for winter 2019 to 2020 under the Warm Home Discount Scheme.
The money is not paid to you - it’s a one-off discount on your electricity bill, between September and March.
You may be able to get the discount on your gas bill instead if your supplier provides you with both gas and electricity. Contact your supplier to find out.
You usually have to be in receipt of a qualifying benefit such as IR ESA, UC , PC. Not all suppliers offer warm home discount.
