PIP appeal was created by Anne Marie
I am in the process of filing out the pip appeal form. I need to wait for a supporting letter from my gp but would appreciate some help and advice in what to write. I’m appealing against the decision of 0 points for following a route or journey alone without another person. I can’t go out anywhere without another person due to feeling extremely anxious about having a chronic migraine and I also have chronic back problems and need to use crutches. The other thing is I suffer severe dizziness/lightheadedness everyday sitting walking standing. Since having a brain operation on one of 5 brain aneurysms some of my migraine mimic similar symptoms to stroke symptoms. So because of the anxiety and stress that something is going to happen while I’m out I cannot go out alone. The pip hp said I am mentally capable and can grip my crutches with no signs of sweating in my assessment and also that I attended my interview alone which is a lie. I’m extremely anxious about the whole process and don’t know if I should go ahead. I plan to appeal on a paper decision as I couldn’t go through going to an appeal court.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I'm sorry but we cannot offer advice on whether you should appeal or not, only you can decide this.
If you go ahead then you need to decide what problem you are going to argue in your submission; either that you cannot undertake a journey (leave your home) or that you can go out but are then unable to follow a route to a destination, these are considered to be mutually exclusive of each other and arguing for one, argues against you meeting the other.
Based on your post, whichever you choose you will need to show that you would suffer from Overwhelming Psychological Distress and it is this rather than the physical problems that prevent you from completing the task.
You mention anxiety and stress, these are unlikely to be accepted as OPD.
It's not clear from your post whether your back problems limit the distance that you can reliably walk but if this is the case then this also offers you a way to score points.

Hi Gordon thank you for advice. I was awarded 10 points on mobility as I can only walk about 20 metres and even walking short distances causes severe pain. It’s the planning and undertaking a journey alone is why I am appealing. I need to have someone with me if I go out anywhere.
