Recording PIP assessments was created by Emma Heath
Hi, I am transitioning from DLA to PIP, my assessment was supposed to be Christmas eve until I informed the DWP I was going to record the assessment on an ex-police dual recorder. Suddenly the assessor does not want to be recorded!!. The DWP has re-booked the assessment for 3 weeks time whilst they try and find an assessor who will agree to be recorded. I will keep you updated.

Claimants have no legal right to require their assessment is recorded, it is provided as an accommodation by the DWP and the Assessment Provider, as a result, it is entirely at the discretion of the assessor whether they want to be recorded or not.
