DLA to PIP was created by manny26
Sent of PIP form a few week back, and today got a Letter saying "we now have the information we need to decide whether we can award you Personal independence Payments ,we will write to you when we've made a decision on you're Claim"
Just wondering is this is normal? (Always thought the mantra was to see every claiment when transferring from DLA to PIP )
And potentially what it means regarding my claim?
Thanks.

Is it normal? No! Is it unusual? No!

Paper Based Reviews are rare but they do happen, a Decision should be 6-10 weeks. You can request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.

Update!!! and Question.
Still not got a Decision on my PIP claim.
Which leads to the following Question.
Did get a Brown Envelope through the Letterbox Today, but it was just confirmation of the new Rates of ESA which will start in April'.
So my Question is this."How will ESA be affected if the worst happens and I do lose my PIP - AWARD?
Your Living Expenses £
Extra Money because You are Severely Disabled £
Extra Money because of the Disability Income Guarantee £
LIMITED CAPABILITY FOR WORK ADDITION
Extra Money because you are in the Support Group £
Which gives a Total income-related Amount £££.
So "which of the above ,if Any' will be Effected if I get No PIP AWARD?
Thanks.

If you do not receive a PIP Daily Living award then you will lose the Severe Disability Premium (Money because You are Severely Disabled).

So even if you just got lower mobility 'you'd keep the SDP?
