Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

We don't really have a view of what is going on with PIP claims at the moment, there was an announcement last week that all assessments have been suspended, we have ha some members report that they are now receiving a telephone assessment but others have said their assessments have been cancelled.
If IAS is saying that is now back with the DWP then all I can tell you is to give them a ring to see if they can tell you what is going on.

Hi Gordon,
Thank you for your reply. I spoke to them a few hours ago and they said there's no reason on my file yet and I've to call back in a few days. Possibly early next week. And I was told a couple of times to stop worrying needlessly - ha!
I was a panicked on the phone, the poor person I spoke to couldn't understand most of what I was saying, I was rambling and talking so fast because of my anxiety
I'll keep you posted when I finally get to speak to someone (and hopefully an idea what's happening). It just feels like most of my review has been a mess

Change of circumstances, form returned end of January. Phoned dwp couple of weeks ago and got told claim was with assessors and to phone them. Phoned them today and got told I was down for a ftf but because of covid19 they were waiting for word from dwp to see if my claim could be dealt with another way. Should hear next week and they will let me know.

Hi Gordon,
Just thought I'd give an update. After being on hold for over an hour I managed to speak to someone at the DWP.
They said because my award was due to end 1st June my form had been recalled with other review forms whose end dates are soon to be given an automatic 6 month extension. He said 6 months is the current extension for everyone, but because the situation with them is changing every day it could change again.
He also said they may make a decision before then, but right now it's been decided (I don't know by who) that I've to be given the 6 months extension. He said something about my putting in a lot of evidence has been noted next to the decision. He had a cold or something so I couldn't understand what he said.
When it comes to review time, at the end of the extension people's claims will probably be decided by the DWP instead of being sent back to the HP because there's so many to deal with. Again he said it could all change.
He said it was a planned intervention? I don't know what that means. But I hope it helps give some information for anyone already in the review process.
