Waiting for pip MR decision was created by Shellyj79
Happy New Year everyone
I'm currently waiting to hear about my MR for pip, it's been six weeks today since they received it and 5 weeks today since I had the text "you asked us to look at our decision" my question is how likely is it that I could be phoned by the dwp when it's finally looked at, as I find speaking on the phone to people who I don't know really difficult, am I just worrying for no reason that they could call me?
Thank you for any help

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Whilst the DWP have become more proactive in contacting claimants during an MR it is still quite rare for them to phone the claimant, if they do then I would just say that due to your conditions you find it difficult to speak to people on the phone.
That said, it could be to your advantage to speak to the DM if you are called as it will be an opportunity for you to explain your problems in completing the PIP activity.

Thank you Gordon, it's just a case of waiting and seeing then, obviously I'm hoping I don't have to speak to them, but I can understand that if I did need to it could help, if I was finding it to difficult would I be able to ask them to continue speaking with one of my parents with me just sitting in on the call?

You have nothing lose by asking the DM if they call.
