Child's DLA expiring was created by cat123
Hi my child's DLA is expiring and I want to start getting together all relevant information for his new claim but unfortunately have misplaced a lot of documents that I sent for the first claim and had computer hard drive fail with all scans of the first claim.

Can I make a data request to the dwp asking for all information they have on my child and would that include the first DLA form?

Regards

Yes, you can although it may no longer be available as the DWP do destroy old evidence, the following explains how to make the request

Thanks Gordon,

I've made the request. Hopefully they will have some of it. We always make scans etc but our family computer died and took lots of valuable information with it. If not we will just have to do the best we can.

Hi cat123

Even though your old computer died, take your computor to your local repair shop who maybe able to download all the files you want on to a USB stick.
