Sending post to DWP was created by gaz111
Hello,
I sent my ESA form off to the DWP at Wolverhampton via next day special delivery.
My tracking number only states out for delivery the next day and no update since?
Does the DWP there accept special delivery? Or can you even send special delivery items in a free post enverlope?
It’s due to be in back to them and worried as it hasn’t been marked as delivered or signed for.
I’ve tried asking Royal Mail but they we not that helpful and couldn’t explain why it hasn’t been updated.
Thanks

Hi Gaz111
Yes the DWP do accept special delivery. Personally, I would get onto the Post Office again, because if it has been signed for by someone at Wolverhampton their records should say so. If it's just out for delivery it is implying that it has not been delivered and you should get your money back for failed service. You can also ring the DWP and see if they have received your form.

Hi,
The tracking update just says it’s out for delivery. It should have been there yesterday on the 7th. No update to where it now is or anything. I’m anxious because it has to be in by Monday the 13th so running out of time. I don’t want to have all the extra hassle of filling it all out again and re gathering all the evidence.
Rang the DWP and they haven’t received it as of yet. Told me it can take a few days to be logged onto the system.
Royal Mail no idea where it is either. Given refund for failed service but more bothered about where my form has gone and wether or not it’s been or going to get delivered.
Don’t want my money stopping. Took me 3 weeks to fill it out too!

Hi Gaz11
Keep ringing the DWP. It can take a few days for it to be logged on the system, but you should certainly have known from the P.O. that it had arrived. I hope that you photocopied everything you sent just in case you need it.
