Hello All. Today I received an appointment for a recorded health assessment at home for the 14th, despite sending them proof of an offer for long term therapy in May. Is this standard procedure? I thought if you have an offer of therapy and are on waiting list. They don’t assess you until that as concluded. Please. Would appreciate some advice.
Thank you

Hi Morena

Being on a waiting list for something like therapy or an operation makes no difference to when you are assessed. What they are interested in is how you are currently and how that affects your ability to manage your daily living and/or mobility.

All this means is that you are likely to have a shorter review time because they will want to know what if any benefit you have received from the therapy.
