Sorry I typed part of my previous post wrong.
I was told in early 2017 that I was due for reassessment on the 19th of December 2017. After the New year, in 2018, I rang the helpline as I was worried it might have got lost in the post.
This time I wad told that someone had looked at my file and that it was now the 19th of December 2019.
I phoned a couple of days before Christmas and was told there was nothing showing on the system. Could I have been reassessed again without knowing?
I read somewhere that they sometimes reassess you without you knowing and sometimes refer to PIP medical evidence and this can influence a new decision.
Would this be right or have I been dreaming?

The DWP can make a new Decision without the issuing of an ESA50, on the evidence already available and reports from other benefits and perhaps information from the claimant's contacts but this is quite rare.

Thanks Gordon,
I'll leave it for now I think, but might think about giving them a call if still not heard anything in a few weeks.

Got ESA 50 form for son, who is in support group and meets all criteria for exemption from reassessment ( born with severe microcephaliy, functions at 1 year old level tho in fact in 30s now, and doubly incontinent) . No chance ever of recovery. Last ESA50 was Feb17. Called to ask why he was being reassessed, told ESA only awarded for 3 years tho doesn’t say so on decision letter. When queried this, got cut off! So is son not automatically exempt from reassessment /must I do ESA50? With exact same answers as previous 3 forms?

Hi Edi
No claimant is exempt from reassessment unless it is stated on the award letter. Fill out the form as before, and I would attach a letter from yourself and one from your GP or consultant if possible saying that his condition will never approve and there is no value to him being reassessed.
