Hi I'd be grateful for advice. I had a pip assessment yesterday and I was so distressed I self harmed (cutting) for days before and right before the assessor turned up. I showed her it and she grimaced and then bombarded me with questions for over an hour while I sat and bled. Is this ok? Are they allowed to do this? All my medical professionals had said under no circs should I have face to face and they rang Monday and came to my flat Wednesday. I'm now really ill.
No, this is not acceptable you should make a complaint to the Assessment Provider specifically and I would also make one to the DWP and contact your MP about what happened.
