Waiting for outcome was created by Jans010
Hi
I had my face to face back in October with a follow up text on 12/11/19 to say they had my report and further information and would get my decision within 6 weeks. I have still not heard and wonder if others are waiting such a long time for renewal decisions?

Hi J
Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
Unfortunately, the waiting times are so variable that it is almost impossible to say how long you may have to wait. Some people are getting their decisions very quickly (within a couple of weeks) and at the other end of the scale, some people are waiting a very long time (about 32 weeks). Where the average is between those two extremes I cannot say, it used to be 4 - 6 weeks. The best thing you can do if you're concerned is ring to find out, because there do seem to be regional as well as individual case differences.

Hi Janet, also you could ring DWP and ask for a copy of the assessors F2F report and look at the check boxes ticked alongside the descriptors of each heading that they felt appropriate, by then looking at the points system for each tick box in the excellent forms on this site you will have an idea of what you are likely to be awarded although DWP will obviously have final say.

Hi
I under went my F2F on 19/12/19.
At the end the HP told us we should get a decision in 6 to 8 weeks , and that was the timescale she had been given start of that week.
I received standard txt 23/12/19 followed up by a letter received yesterday, stating they have all information and I would hear from them in 6 weeks.
Can’t bring myself to request assessment report☹️
I’m in North Devon .. hope this helps a little.

Hi Devon Idil..very similar scenario to you..wife had her F2F on 17th Dec. 2019, the assessors report was received at DWP on 27th Dec... we requested a copy to see if we need to start gathering evidence for a mandatory reconsideration as you only have 4 weeks from date of decision letter so worth getting hold of it..Got the copy a few days ago but will have to wait for final say from DWP in a number of weeks but we are hopeful looking at assessors report for a good result.. I personally think it`s good to see in advance what the assessor has ticked so you can decide whether to challenge their findings....
