I'm told there's a very good one on Facebook which deals with ME and benefits.

In that case, I'd be doubly careful with your phrasing, because "over 200 metres repeatedly for a couple of hours" didn't in any way chime with the above - it sounded more like a walk of 1 km with breaks in it. My reaction to it was that if that was accurate it was the mildest case of ME I'd ever heard of!

Thank you Moof, that's very helpful. I had an ME crash, hence my tardy response.
As you can imagine, having ME/CfS I find it very hard to retain information. I literally forget things I knew, but very helpful to be reminded and thanks for the heads up for the groups.

I also have ME/CFS. Since the DWP was forced to introduce new descriptors for fluctuating conditions I have consistently said on claims forms that I can't walk more than 50m reliably, safely and repeatedly. ALWAYS tell them only what you can do on your very worst day. Good luck!

I'm sorry but we cannot support this advice, many of the high profile prosecutions for benefit fraud have been successful because the claimant only reported their problems when they were at their worst.

Hypothetically, if you only have a bad day for 2 out of 5 days, that wouldnt be classed as the 'majority of the time?.....which I believe is the basis for scoring points for PIP.
