Hi
I am in the process of filling out this Horrible Pip form for the 1st time.

On Question 13 Going out, I looked up what an Orientation Aid was classed as but it looks like no one knows lol.
I always use Google Satnav on my phone but reading up on it, this isn't classed as a Orientation Aid but I can't seem to find out what is classed as a disability Orientation Aid.
Can anyone help with pointing me in the right direction

Hi Adam

“Orientation aid” means a specialist aid designed to assist disabled people to follow a route
safely.

For a blind person, this may be a white cane, or audio feedback devices or a tactile map.

Deaf people can use a red & white cane.

I've avoided satellite navigation devices as the DWP guidance refers to specialised satellite navigation devices and it is, therefore, reasonable to assume that this not encompass devices generally available in the High Street.

Guide and Assistance dogs are covered under a separate definition.
