After my F2F I applied for a copy of the assessment report and like many others on the forum found it to be full or untruths, discrepancies and misleading information by which the DM would make their decision. Going by the points awarded I used the descriptor sheet and presumed that I would score for standard care and standard mobility despite having been on Higher mobility and standard care previously whilst receiving DLA. The assessor recommended that I should be reviewed in 18 months obviously making sure they had a job projection call me cynical.
The envelope arrived and as expected I received standard for both components. I felt that I merited extra points in a few areas of descriptors and that most probably could argue successfully on these points.
After deliberation whether I should lodge a MR I decided against this the only reason being that I was awarded Ongoing ... with a review due around November 2029 which would be 10 years time at which point I would be 68 years of age and past retirement age if nothing changes in the future and they don't move the retirement age to 90 ! ....
I wish everyone going through the process currently and awaiting an outcome from their F2F or MR's or Appeals all the best.
Finally I would like to thank the moderators for their help during my journey and acknowledge the time and effort they put into trying to provide stressed, scared and sometimes helpless individuals with support and information to help them to challenge where appropriate.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Esme999
Congratulations on your ongoing award. I'm sorry it wasn't quite what you were hoping for.

thank you I just wonder how many claimants decide not to proceed with MR's due to the length of the awards given and if this in fact is a bit of a ploy by DWP as they know people are aware the whole award is looked at again and not just the descriptors being challenged. I spoke with my pain management specialist this afternoon and she was shocked and said she can't understand how these people can carry out assessments when they have 2 weeks training and decide on the level of care or manageability of claimants conditions and then make recommendations in her words "The system is broken and will not be fixed anytime soon".
