Hi

I am currently on DLA, as per letter from DWP I applied for PIP, my application was submitted on the 2nd October 2019 and I am yet to hear anything. I know they have received it as I sent a disk containing my X-Rays and they returned this by post saying they could not use as only paper evidence can be scanned on their system!! Is it normal to wait this long and should I have been asked for a medical assessment by now? I will chase this up by phone but I suffer from anxiety so will need a family member to make the call.

Thank

Hi Rebecca

You would normally have expected to hear about an assessment by now, but some people are experiencing long delays. The best thing you can do is get someone to call for you and find out the current status of your claim.

Hi
Here’s my timeline hope it helps.
DLA to Pip transfere, forms received by DWP 9/10/19.
Apart from a txt saying they had received my form nothing until 10/12/19 with appointment for home assessment on 19/12/19 .
The HP told us they had been told 6/8 weeks for a decision..
I’m in Devon .
Wishing you luck.
