Good Morning
1: My PIP is due for review end of april this is 6 months before end date when do you receive the Pip Form?

2: And my ESA is due review end of March when do you receive the ESA Form?

3: With my Pip form when I get it can you refer to Pip Report 2018 as in I.e.Speaking to People, Hearing, Understanding, being Understood: My 2018 Claim I got zero points despite all I suffer, Assessors opinion I can express & understand verbal information unaided & MSE found good insight. I was unable to complete 5 rounds of serial sevens confirmed in PIP Report says tests concentration, memory & thinking. & Report said needed to be prompted in Consultation. I got things wrong couldn’t remember all items, it took 3 attempts to get sum correct, got wrong the spelling of world backwards but PIP Report said got it correct etc my Husband confirmed these things to me as he was present at Face to Face Assessment in our home bungalow. & 2018 PIP Claim you’d my G.P’s Letter ??/??/2018 it explained confirms need assistance with all aspects of daily living etc due to profound fatigue muscle pain, neuropathic pain & all I suffer & that I suffer Brain Fog & need reminding, prompting of everyday things & to assist & help is due to all I suffer & side effect of medications, I’ve enclosed for you. & enclosed a New G.P’s Letter ??/1??/?? it confirms still need the same & suffer disabling episodes of palpitations, breathlessness, light headedness & that there’s been no variability for many years & due to my profound fatigue & pain if you could this time consider doing a Paper Based Review Assessment instead as 2018 one was almost 2 hours.

Hi Info/helpneeded

1. PiP review forms are being sent out approximately 6 months before the end date of an award.

2. It is more difficult to know when you will receive an ESA form - because some have found that they have not received them at all. You could always ring the DWP and ask.

3. If you are hoping for a paper-based assessment (of which they do very few) you will need the backing of a letter from your GP explaining that the cognitive problems that you have, make doing a face to face both distressing but also unfair as you cannot give a good account of yourself.

Yes, you can refer to a previous report, but they are most interested in your current condition here and now - so you need the main focus to be on that.

Thank you very much for your reply and help so if PIP ends end of Oct expect the form end of Apr.
So can put on Pip Form i.e:
Since my 2018 Claim I still need everyday my meals, foods prepared, cooked, heated, done, got & cut up for me & brought to me as I’m just unable due to all I suffer & would mean they’d be a clear danger etc all in detail later. I did explain this to 2018 PIP Assessor unable & they said MSO found reduced limb power & hand grip & G.P confirms profound pain & fatigue. That G.P’s Letter Assessor referred to said due to profound fatigue, pain & neuropathic pain & all she suffers she requires all foods meals to be prepared & cooked because she is unable I’ve enclosed this for you. & I’ve enclosed a New G.P’s Letter ??/??/2020 it confirms I’m still unable & there’s been no variability for many years now & that I suffer brain fog, disabling episodes of palpitations, breathlessness, light headedness etc. & also when I had the home visit in 2018 the PIP Report said Managing Treatments Medications am unable & MSO found reduced pinch grip etc. & dressing & undressing MSO findings were significantly reduced upper & lower limb power, hand grip & shoulder movement. & said they observed me needing my Husband to help me sit forward & to elevate my feet on footstool & I expressed pain him doing so & he opened poured my drink etc & I looked tired & pale. They all tie in with all I suffer etc & Preparing/Cooking Food I’d be unable AND PUT SYMPTOMS ETC

Hi info/helpneeded

The timescale is an approximate one. People have been reporting they have been receiving them 6 months before (whereas it used to be 12 months before).

I cannot advise you on the exact words you might use, but I notice you say you cannot do cutting up of food etc because of all that you 'suffer'. Don't use the word 'suffer' because it is too vague and is open to interpretation. Be specific. You cannot cut up food because of (medical condition) and (symptoms eg poor grip, shortened muscles, etc) which make it impossible to grip even adapted utensils. etc.

Hi info/helpneeded

That type of thing will be fine. If you have a condition other than carpal tunnel that affects your manual dexterity, you should put the main focus on that. While the symptoms of carpal tunnel can be debilitating the DWP often appears to overlook them because it's something that can generally be fixed with an operation and so they may view that you don't have long term needs.

What you want to do is give the clearest picture of your difficulties backed up by any medical evidence. The DWP is not interested in your conditions per se, what they are interested in is your ability to meet the PIP criteria.
