hi my daughter is 16 and is moving from DLA to PIP. She has multiple physical disabilities, medical conditions and anxiety/depresion. Her consultant has wrote a letter saying that he recommends AGAINST her attending a face2face if asked to as it "will have a detrimental on both her mental and physical wellbeing and will worsen her conditions" ect.
will the dwp accept a letter like this or will they just ignore it and make her undergo a face2face anyway?
It's impossible to say. It does depend a little on the exact wording of the letter. It appears from what the consultant has said that they have been very clear about the cost to your daughter's health - so you would hope that the DWP will accept that.

My doctor did a letter that said I should not have any f2f assessment on mental health grounds, but I had to undergo one anyway. They don't listen to the doctor as far as I could tell.
