I previously received long term DLA middle care, highest mobility. When I transferred to PIP I was awarded the highest award in both categories but for 2 years with a paper review after one year. Their expectation was that my condition might improve- interesting concept as I’ve deteriorated over the years and required 18 surgeries with a further 2 planned. I received what I thought was my paper review yesterday to discover they’ve placed me in the long term(10yr) category. Apparently they’re reviewing decisions for people who have reached retirement age. Common sense prevails- at least for me.
So glad that this has happened to you. I have heard this happening to a handful of other people too. Officially they have not released any word about it, but unofficially it has been reported that they are slowly working through the list of those of pensionable age.
