Basic State Pension was created by Moonshine
Hello all. I have just received an invitation to get my state pension. I am in the Support Group for ESA and receive the enhanced daily living PIP. I am not due to reach my retirement age for almost 4 months and my question is if I apply for the state pension now, will I have my ESA stopped straight away or will they stop it when they start paying my pension? I am too nervous to call them up

The pension cannot be paid until you reach State Retirement Age and your ESA will remain in payment until then,

Many thanks Gordon. Sorry to be so obtuse but are you saying that even if I made the claim today that it will not affect my ESA but will be in the system showing that I have claimed?
