ESA decision was created by Helen
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had some advice please. I had my face to face assessment on 11/11/19 . The lady cut the assessment short and only focused on one of my conditions as she told me that I clearly meet the first Descriptor and would send the report to DWP supporting my claim to be placed in the LCWRA group. She told me I would hear in 2-3 weeks. However I’ve still not heard a thing, my small amount of savings has almost gone and I’m not sure how I’m going to manage. I struggle on the phone and I’ve no idea who I should call anyway. Is it normal for it to take this long? I know xmas would cause extra delays, but it’s been over two months now. I’m really starting to panic. Thank you for your help. Helen.

Hi Helen

I would have expected you to have heard by this time. Do you have anyone else who can ring and ask for you? You would need to be there when they did it - so you could give your permission, but I'm afraid it's the only way you will know what's going on quickly. You could also write, but when and if you would receive a reply is anyone's guess.

Hello, thank you for your reply, my son has just called universal credit for me and all they will tell us is that it was Christmas so there is a delay. And when they have made a decision they will up date my journal so I just have to wait. I applied for this on the 28th June, It’s ridiculous.

Hi Helen

Glad you were able to get some answer - even if it was a very unsatisfactory one!
