Time waiting for PIP decision was created by Karen
Hi,
My PIP assessment was on 15th November and heard nothing. I feel physically sick every day waiting to hear. I would love to book a little holiday but dare not spend anything in case I need to buy a car. I need my mobility vehicle so will need to find funds somewhere. My stomach is in knots podtman brought my Mobility newsletter today how ironic.

Hi Karen

I've moved your post to its own topic, we ask members not to post their questions in other member's topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.

You say that your assessment was on the 15th November, have you asked for a copy of the assessors report? It is always a good idea to get a copy of the report, you can usually ask DWP for a copy 2-3 days after your assessment to give you an idea how you got on and also allows you a small window for you to write to the Decision Maker if there is anything that you believe is incorrect in the report.

Understand that the assessor is offering an opinion when they say that you can do the PIP activities, tackling these head-on is unlikely to be successful, you need to show that the basis of that opinion is founded on incorrect information, so try and refer to your evidence to undermine what they have said.

I would give DWP a call to request a copy of your assessment report and at the same time ask for any news as you have not heard anything since November.

Thank you Gary,
I just called for a copy of the report. Advisor said it was looked at on 16/1/20 and they had to relook at descriptors as in his words " I wasn't in fine fettle" on the day and looked like my benefits should increase. Not holding my breath though.
