It is always best to have up to date letters but if your condition has not changed in three and a half years, you can use these letters but you will need to explain why they are relevant today.

I only had 2 reports 8yrs old to support my son's UC50 capability for work application and they must have been accepted as he was placed in LCWRA group without a f2f.
I sent the same old reports with his pip application, but we havent got the outcome of that one yet.
I did write in the additional notes that the 2 reports were still an accurate description of his current presentation.
