Ill Health Retirement was created by Bridget62
Looking for some advice. I receive PIP and have been one of the fortunate ones, going through your information that I have received enhanced for both care and mobility. I was given medically retirement from my workplace. The amount is just covers my rental and elect and gas. I receive ESA contributions. I had been told by ESA to go to Universal Credit for my rental. I did this and believe me it is the most frustrating thing ever. After 6 months going back wards and forwards, they have now said that I do not qualify, cause my income is over the threshold which I am allowed. How is it that ! When your allowance is taken into account they do not count PIP cause it is a disability, but yet they take into account my ill health retirement contributions . Surely should this not be included for as this is a disability payment as well. I gave worked all my life I gave paid all my contributions. I paid into a pension. Now I am being penalised. Has anyone got any suggestions. TIA

Hi Bridget62

I am really sorry, but this is outside of the scope of the forum and you need to talk to a specialist benefits advisor. Google for one adding your postcode to find one in your area.
