Worried about re applying for PIP was created by Tinkie2poos
Hi, Im still really new to doing all of this so Im sorry if it doesnt come out right.

I had DLA, moved over to PIP really quite easily, I have now been told after a medical for universal credit that Im unfit for work. I have got a lot worse but Im worried that if I put in for a re assessment after reading all the horror stories they will take the PIP away from me, Can anyone give me some guidance please?

You need to ask yourself some questions.

- Is the change sustained or temporary
- You say that you have got worse but does this mean that you would score higher if your PIP was reassessed? Would you score enough points for a higher award? Are you being reasonable with your view of the changes?

If you decide to report a Change then do so in writing and if you can afford it, send the letter using a Tracked post so you have proof of delivery, the date of the letter should be used as the start date for any new award.

Reporting a Change will result in a full reassessment of your claim, a new PIP2 and almost certainly a face to face assessment. The new Decision will supersede your existing award whatever the result might be.
