I am not in the means tested category Gary. But please trust me my heartfelt thoughts and best wishes go out to all who suffer the hurt that people have to suffer.
Can you look into this for me please? Xxxx

Hi Gary. I am allowed to appeal the length of the award. Not the points awarded. The DWP told my hubby yesterday. I was in a 14 to 16 week wait after his call yesterday. Yet 4 to 6 weeks before that.
I have requested all phone calls made by my husband. Even the one yesterday.
Gary, I have illnesses and they are not getting any better. I am, through help, trying my best to live with what I have to live with in my mind and as I told the tribunal on my first application they queried my insight. I was successful at tribunal.
Yes my assessment report says I have good 'insight' yet she still awarded me 18 points and 22 respectively.
The department of work and pensions told my husband today that it was 14 to 6 weeks turnaround. Then being put in front of a CM he said he could uphold the report.
Not good enough for me.... I will let you know what happens.,,,

Hi Gary
Thanks for listening. I was told yesterday that the letter would take 5 days to arrive. I'll wait to see what it says. He advised me to go for a mandatory reconsideration on the 18 months award, if he wasn't able to change the recommendation from the HP.
He also told me that he would put notes on the system regarding the impending review. Which in reality be 6 months time as my change of circumstances was started 9 september. So you're right.... trying to deal with a tribunal is going to be too much for me. You brought me back to reality in a sense.
I was just so worried because I can't get a blue badge which is essential for me to go to my appointments.
This whole system is a minefield. I have to be thankful that the assessor was pretty much accurate on her home assessment of me. I will do a MR and won't go to tribunal. At least an MR will give the DM/CM (i found out they are the same btw.) An opportunity to reassess the length of award. He confirmed that the points would be disregarded and it is a MR based on length of award only.
Hope this somehow helps others worrying about waiting for a decision. I told the CM/DM the following, "how can the DWP state on Monday that my case was still with the decision maker and would take 4-6 weeks from them receiving the HP report then Thursday, 3 days later we were told 14-16 weeks. I asked them how many members of staff had to go sick to have that sort of rise in timescales.
I have calculated approximately 72% of their staff would have to have been placed on leave/sick leave in order to give such a significant change to their workload.
Anyways, I have applied for all phone recordings since September and whilst the CM/DM kept asking me if he had sorted everything did I need to get the recordings. I said yes.
This isnt about payback.... it is me trying to tell people on here that you can fight back despite any illness you suffer.
Ps... the funeral ( I managed to leave my home for the first time today for something other than an appointment) was a beautiful service.
Thanks for listening Gary. Xxx
