Hi just some advice please. Filling in the new referral form. On the moving around section it asks about aids. I dont use crutches anymore as it is too painful for my hands to grip. My toes lock when I stand and walk. They are always painful but I walk with them in pain and locking. What should I tick because I dont actually have assistance? Worried that if I put no assistance it will go against me? Thank you for any help Mandy
Try not to second guess what an assessor will think when reading your form. You don't have to tick the box - just write "see below" or " see additional sheet" and write the explanation just as you have done above, and that clearly says why you could not use them. No one should ever be penalised for not being able to use an aid when there is a valid reason for them not doing so.
