I think I have to move and I don't know how?? was created by seasicksteve68
Hello. I am currently receiving esa (support group) I recently lost my father who lived in his own house. As his only son, I am to inherit his house. The house is in a different council, and I have just seen my father's heating bills, and I am afraid that I won't be able to pay for the council tax and heating, let alone anything else. I have been told that I will have to transfer to UC, I had a reassessment before Xmas and the face to face was cancelled last minute. My future is causing me more stress and worry than the reassessment did. I do not know where to begin. I'm not even sure what I have to do to get the house transferred. I am petrified about what I've heard about UC, do not understand it at all. Who I have to inform, when I should do this. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Hi seasicksteve68
I am sorry about the loss of your father.
The questions you ask are well outside the scope of this forum and you need to take advice from a specialist benefits adviser. You could try the CAB or you could just google benefits advice + your postcode and see what is available in your area.
