Am I entitled to ESA? was created by rmegan
I have had to Retire early (63) from full time employment due to
Ill health .
I had to undergo lots of examinations and interviews so that I could claim my Company pension at the full rate . My husband has read that I should be able to claim ESA for 12 months is this correct?

If you are awarded Limited Capability for Work then the NE ESA is only payable for a year, if you receive Limited Capability for Work Related Activity then it is payable for as long as you meet the criteria.

Thanks Gordon. I didn’t add to my previous message that I am currently in receipt of PIP on standard rate for both elements.
