ESA premiums was created by EDM
I have ESA contribution benefit. I do not have any IR ESA. I am in the Support Group. I also have standard rate PIP care.
My partner has his old age pension as he is 73. He has no other benefits.
Should I be entitled to any ESA premiums as is? I think not due to my being on contribution ESA. Is this correct?
My partner has Parkinson’s. I was considering helping him claim Attendance Allowance.
If he was awarded attendance allowance I think he would then be disregarded as living with me and I may be due an ESA premium. Is this correct or as I am on contribution ESA am I still not due it?
Thanks in advance!

To receive the Premiums you need to be receiving or entitled to receive Income Related ESA, you may be eligible if your partner is awarded AA but his pension will be treated as income and deducted £ for £ from any ESA(IR) that you may be entitled to and this may prevent payment, you can put your information into one of the online benefit calculators to see.

Hi Gordon, thanks for your response.
I won’t be able to get IR ESA as I have too much capital. Does the fact that I am only on Cont ESA rule me out of all premiums, even if my partner is disregarded and I am classed as living alone?
