If decision not made before existing award ends? was created by admail@aglarond.co.uk
Hi I'm just wondering if anyone might be able to advise me. I'm awaiting a decision from my PIP review. My current award ends on 29th March 2020. I've returned all documents (and evidence) within requested time scales. I had a f2f on 21st January and received a 'we have enough information to make a decision' letter from the DWP, which was dated the 5th February.
I have complained to ATOS/IAS about the f2f and have had a phone call and letter confirming that the complaint will be investigated.
What happens if the DWP don't make a decision by the 29th March? Will PIP payments stop?
If I do get the decision and want to ask for a MR (which will probably take until after March 29th) will my PIP payments just stop on the 29th?

You have a Fixed Term award so payments will end on 29 March whatever happens with the review. Any new award should start from 30 March and if there are any missed payments then they will be back paid.

There is plenty of time for the DWP to make a Decision on the Review but keep an eye on them to make sure that it happens.

Many thanks Gordon.
It is what I thought would happen but very good to have it confirmed. As I have a Motability vehicle that will have to be returned as well.
Given that this process has been going on since September it already feels a marathon!
