I went for an assessment in 2017. They were 2 hours behind when I arrived after an hour I was unwell and sent home. I had to pay for a drs letter for a home assessment and it worked. I then worried every day when it would happen. I got letter finally in Feb 2020 for home assessment. I asked for it to be recorded. She arrived with a big blue box containing 2 audio tape drives exactly like you used to see in the 80's on police shows. My assessment (PAPER) was recorded but now I have a cassette but no way of listening to it. It seems they will record assessment but are making it impossible for you to use the recordings. Even if it had been a disk I have no computer/laptop either as I cannot afford one. Most people have phones they should use audio files that can be downloaded onto phones.
I'm afraid they are unlikely to ever use audio files as you suggest as they can easily be tampered with. I don't know whether you have a local library and whether they have a machine you could use to listen to it.
