Many thanks to both Gary and Gordon for their invaluable advice on this. Carers Allowance and Pension Credit Guarantee Credit are now both reinstated after many phone calls. The Pension Credit advisors tried very hard to wriggle out of reinstating it.
What a relief, we once again have free dental care which was my greatest worry when we lost it!
