Face 2 face assessment for esa was created by Sparrow26
Hi
My wife was due to have an esa f2f at the end of November but they were unable to proceed as she is in a wheelchair and they had no access so it was cancelled on health and safety grounds. We were told she would receive another appointment shortly after Christmas. Although we have contacted them several times and sent a work OH report confirming she won't be able to return to work no appointments have been arranged. Her initial claim was in September. She is now 65 and received higher rate Pip. Is this normal process.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

There are considerable delays in the ESA assessment process and this may be why it has taken so long for a new appointment to be booked.
Her ESA award remains in payment until a new Decision is made so she doesn't have to do anything to progress the situation.

Then the DWP should stop mailing out review request until they catch up on their current workload. It causes people who already have an illness more stress and worry in most cases.
We receive a letter saying IT MUST be returned by XXX otherwise your benefit will crease, then they leave us in limbo for weeks or months. I've never contacted my MP but will be asking them to write to the Minister. Not that anything will ever change, but it will make me feel better.
It a shame our media don't bother picking up on the way disabled people here in the UK are being treated.
Sorry guys for the rant.
