Hello Gordon

Is there a reason why a copy of the Assessment Report, which is automatically sent to the DWP Decision Maker, cannot automatically be sent to the claimant at the same time? I think it's one of the most important documents that all claimants need, to start the process of challenging the recommendations of the Assessor.

I requested mine in December 2019. It arrived with a warning "Please be aware this may not be the final draft and you need to wait for the decision letter before requesting a MR" I returned my Consultation Report form to the DWP Decision Maker, along with the information that was inaccurate or missing. That was 3 weeks ago but no reply yet. Sx

Hi Sioux

I moved your post, so the answer doesn't get muddled up with the member who had posted their query.

It is the DWP's decision not to automatically send out the assessment report. I suspect this is due to save on printing costs. Although many people do ask for a copy of their report, there are lots of people who don't - either because they don't know they can, or because they don't want to read it, or because they feel they have had a reasonable assessment and they get a decision they're satisfied with.

Three weeks will feel like a long time to hear, but people are waiting for 6 - 10 weeks - some even longer.

Hello Bis

Thanks for reply. I guessed that 3 weeks is not long at all in the grand scheme of things.
