Hi my partner has just received this letter headed directions notice from his awaiting tribunal hearing will this mean that he will be at a disadvantage without the dwp responding
It does not mean that your partner will be disadvantaged, a direction notice will usually tell one party that they need to do something, the last one I saw gave directions for DWP to issue bundle of documents by a certain date, if not then they had to present themselves at a tribunal and explain why not, at the same time it asked the other party to send in copies of supporting documents to enable the tribunal to proceed.

It does state on the letter that they have given dwp to dates to respond to which they have not done and they have asked for copy of the mandatory reconsideration letter, we were hoping that maybe this could avoid having to face a tribunal panel .
