I am due to have my f2f assessment at home next week. Both my husband and I, like many others claiming PIP, fall into the vulnerable groups. We normally remain quietly at home which does provide us with a degree of protection.
How will we know that the assessor is clear of infection, and presumably assessors will be wanting to protect themselves. Will assessments even take place?
I have not heard from the DWP about any changes due to the coronavirus, at the moment there are 273 cases in the uk out of a population of 67 million, chances of catching it are slim, you just need to take precautions such as don't shake hands or attend any crowded events. If the assessors are unwell then they will self-isolate until they have been tested and given the all clear.
Keep an eye on our latest news items which is where we will post if there are any changes coming up.
