To record or not was created by EllieC
Hi everyone
I have MS and my f2f for changeover from Indefinite DLA is in the 28th of this month.
I also have GAD and am absolutely terrified of having this assessment.
My partner is coming with me but due to the cognitive/confusion side of my MS along with the anxiety I get overwhelmed and muddled up so Im panicking.
I had almost decided to record the assessment - but now I am worried that this might cause an atmosphere with the assessor and they won’t be as understanding of my condition and how much I rely on my partner on a daily basis.
Do you think recording is a good idea - and how many of you did it?
Thank you

Hi EllieC
Assessors are accustomed to people recording so if you want to do so - you should do so. You will have to inform them of your wish to do so in plenty of time and you will have to have the ability to make two copies simultaneously - which for a lot of people means purchasing recording machines (as digital ones are not allowed)
