PIP review before award ends was created by Melanie Tudor
Hi, it's a year before my PIP award ends and I've been dreading the brown envelope through the door. A friend told me reviews are sent 6 months before an award ends now and not a year as previously. Could you confirm if this is now the case? If true it means i can breathe easy again until October. Thank you.

The DWP has not officially made any announcements about a change in policy, but it seems from what claimants are saying that review forms are now being sent out six months before the award end. This has been happening for at least a year now. So we cannot say with absolutely certainty, but it seems to be that is what's happening.

My PIP award is until the end of the month and my review documentation was sent out in September, so about 6 months in my case.
I still don't have a decision from the DWP, but assume that is partly because I've complained to Independent Assessment Services about the 'assessment'.
