ESA / PIP was created by squis61
Hello can you please advise me on my ESA as I was on incapacitate benefits. I have been put into a support group. I ues to get £154 every 2 weeks now it's been cut to £24.59 every 2 weeks. As I get a pension from the company that I worked for. I have been medically retired from the company now for about 18 years. I don't know what to do about it.? Should I appeal the decision as I am worried that it may affect my PIP which is now due for renewal as I have just got the forms through in the post. And I'm not sure how to fill the PIP forms in can someone please advise on how I can fill the forms in for PIP.

Regards

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I'm afraid pension income is taken into account for both Income Related ESA and Contribution Based ESA.

For ESA(IR) it will be deduced £ for £.

For ESA(CB) there is an £85/week disregard followed by a £1/week deduction for every £2 in excess of the £85.

Your only options for challenging the Decision to reduce your ESA is that the DWP has not calculated the deduction correctly.
