Hello I`m receiving PIP until October 2020 and I`m nearly 71. I was wonder if anybody could advise me please of the current position. Last year, DWP stated (I think) that anybody over state pension age would not have to be reassessed in order to continue receiving PIP. Is this still the situation. Regards Swansea
I'm afraid you will have to wait and see what happens.
The DWP appear to now be starting reassessments six months before the end of the award, it used to be a year.
They may convert your award at reassessment time to an On-Going award, we expect all claimants with an Enhanced award of both components to be switched, we are unsure whether this will happen for claimants with a lesser award, one factor will be whether your conditions are likely to change.
