Hi
Please could you advise on how long it will take to receive a decision on a paper review?
I did explain that I am waiting on in to date medical information following an MRI which I haven’t had done for several years.
My condition has been deteriorating for some time now and it was decided by medical professionals investigations were made.
Having done all this and completing the paper appeal , the tribunal will be waiting on this information solely? As I feel the evidence I had provided would have been sufficient. It was my choice to explain that the up to date evidence from the MRI would be an additional support for my appeal.
I first applied for PIP Aug 2019 and received 0 points. Then I found this site which has been fantastic so helpful in many ways. I went for the mandatory reconsideration with the assistants of benefits and work and received 10 points on mobility which in honesty a massive jump from 0 points, my award has been granted for 10 years.
Do you think the tribunal will only make a decision upon the receipt of my mri results ( which will be followed up with a letter in non clinical language)
Or do you think theirs probably a back log of paper appeals. Or yes they are waiting for this up to date information.
My condition has been since birth I’m 44 and have coped but I was always informed my condition would deteriorate, which it has, I’ve always wanted to be independent which I still can be hopefully. This is my first ever time for applying for some help.
I can’t thank you guys enough for the previous support offered. Please can you advise on the questions asked in the message.
Thank you
Many thanks
Sarah

I'm afraid there is no way to know when a Paper hearing, I assume this is what you mean, will be heard, they are scheduled into empty slots in the panel's diary as they become available, the only restriction is that a hearing cannot be convened until one month has elapsed from the date on the letter that accompanied the DWP's submission.
I doubt that they will wait for your MRI result, this would be new evidence about your conditions as they are now unless the report specifically states that it also relates to your conditions as they were at the time that you were assessed then it may be excluded, the panel can only consider your conditions and limitations as they were not how they are now.
