This is good news for a number of reason 1 being it will hopefully allow the DWP DM to catch up with the back log and let us know the outcome of our claims.

I see folk are saying good, but you need to remember its 3 months - you will in most cases be asked to attend for a f2f. It's going to go away completely. t You have 3 months money coming in. I would be unhappy, it's just delaying further a claim further causing more stress and misery.

I had a letter saying that had all the info on Feb 4 still waiting to hear back . the transition from DLA to PIP started in August 19 it now7/8 month later and Im still awaiting a decision. Its not acceptable to treat disabled people or anyone for that matter in this way. Then if you request a MR it will seems never ending. I not surprised some people just throw in the towel. or worse die before their claim if sorted.

I don't want to put a damper on things but: ESA is fine it is an ongoing benefit with no official end date.

PIP, on the other hand, has and end date so if this virus goes on
long enough, claimants are going to go past their end date and their awards will cease until assessments commence.

Unless the DWP have another plan which I haven't heard about.

Phrank.
