Hi all. I completed my ESA50 in December 2019. I received a reminder to complete it, so phoned and they confirmed they'd received it on 31st December (well within deadline).

Yesterday I received a letter saying about the cost of living increase, awarded in the 2020 budget.

Today I've received another ESA50 to complete, before I've heard the result of the last one.

Is this normal?

Hi Edmond

No, it is not usual for another one to be sent before you have received a decision. Give them a ring and query it. It's probably just an error, but don't ignore it, because you wouldn't want to find your money stopped because they think you haven't returned this second form.

Thank you for your quick response. I wonder if it's a glitch then, I hope so. I'll phone and let the forum know the outcome.

It took over an hour on hold, then they told me not to complete it as it's a duplicate form and logged the information.

Hi Edmond

That is good to hear. If I was you, I would write a letter just to confirm your conversation - so that you have a written record of it. I know what they've said, but I always err on the side of caution and always keep a paper trail in case something goes awry.
