If your on universal credit why has my PIP not been taken as proof of valid disability. They say I get no payment through my partner and my claim. I had to get cert from doctor and proof I’m unfit for work! Surely this isn’t right. I’ve had no payment for me since we started getting up. My dr. States use PIP letter. The job centre says that’s not proof. Help?
Because PIP is not an income replacement/sick benefit, many PIP claimants are able to work and do so.
There are crossovers between the two benefits but they are limited and the criteria is usually different and you will need to explain why your PIP award is relevant to your UC claim.
