In transition from DLA to PIP was created by swiftsfield
I submitted my PIP form last month. Unfortunately it was at a time of bereavement and was very rushed. Can anyone confirm if the extensions to PIP/ESA I just read about here will apply to DLA. Have been in self isolation for 2 weeks already as per NHS advice and live on my own and haven't been able to send further medical evidence. I now have someone supporting me with food, cleaning etc so will ask her to send the further evidence. Just wanted to know if my DLA will continue for the time being? Thank you.

The PIP Transfer legislation already includes provisions for extending a DLA award if it reaches its End Date before a Decision on your PIP claim is made, specifically, your DLA is required to remain in payment until four weeks after the PIP Decision is made.
