Still Confused DLA to PIP was created by Sallyb
I'm sorry, I'm still confused.
I started the DLA to PIP change nearly a year ago. Had reached the point of f2f assessment due on 17th March. It didn't happen.
Not had any communication from them, but we did forward additional information that we would have given on 17th.
So what will happen now?

Hi Sallyb

Face to face assessments were suspended from the 16th March for three months. You don't need to do anything as the DWP will be contacting you about what will happen next. Can't tell you how soon this will be because obviously they are dealing with a lot of suspended assessments.

I know this doesn't help answer your question but just wanted to offer some sympathy!

The system is hugely unfair. We have time limits to return documents but the DWP/ATOS can take as long as they want.

The DWP sent me the forms for a PIP review last September and I've met all their deadlines, sent paperwork Special Delivery so I've a record of them receiving it and I had my f2f in January.

It is April tomorrow and there has been no decision. My current claim was due to cease two days ago and I'm not 100% sure that it will be extended. As I have mental health issues including severe anxiety I have been 'wound up' since September. The only reason I can keep going is sheer determination that I'm not going to be put off as I know that is what is wanted.

So, hang in there and don't let them grind you down!

Certainly agree it’s unfair and one sided. If you fail to return the form by the date set from the DWP you Will lose your benefit. The DWP appears to have no time limited. The level of stress they have caused myself and many others is a disgrace. Sadly only a few people care. Why are the MPs not asking more questions about the time it’s talking to receive a decision. I have written to my MP some 5 weeks ago but heard nothing back to far.
