Hi hope you can give me some advice.
After going through a DLA to PIP I complained to DWP and Capita regarding the lies written by Capita on their report.
DWP were totally uninterested and Capita eventually gave me a final nonsense reply which I could take to the Independent Case Examiner.
I.C.E have taken on my complaint and I was advised of the long wait I would have.
I have recently had a phone call from I.C.E (a different person than I have previously spoken to) where Capita have offered £100 compensation which would end my complaint. I explained to the girl who phoned me from ICE it is not about the money, I am appalled that Capita can get away with telling lies, she advised me to take the money as if my complaint goes through all their investigations the outcome will be the same, an offer of £100 compensation, just a longer wait for it.
I feel as though I am again being 'fobbed off' to reduce their case load but still feel as though I should carry on with my complaint.
In your opinion would you carry on with this complaint?
Many thanks for reading this and I appreciate any advice?
Karen

Hi Karen
We can't tell you what to do here.
I can only tell you from a personal point of view that if I am faced with a decision like the one you have, I ask myself - 'what can I live with?'
If I could accept the money and let it go, I would do so. However, if I knew it would continue to bug me, then I would have to proceed.

Hi Karen
I emailed a complaint against the assessor, the reply I had form Capita addressed just one of the many issues that I mentioned & ignored the rest. So I emailed them again, they said that they'd registered a formal complaint. I won't be accepting any £100 if offered. Good Luck!
