Received my decision. was created by ukLee
The brown envelope arrived yesterday. I placed it on the side. I opened a short time ago to find that I have been awarded the enhanced rate for daily living and mobility until 2026. The accessor states two years, maybe that's a review recommendation I'm not sure.
I did have my draft MR prepared. I found the accessor report not genuinely to reflect my situation. I scaped in with 14 points for daily living. I cannot begin to express what a relief it is. No doubt the next review won't be that far off. The whole process made me feel ill, both mentally and physically. I began the transfer from DLA to PIP last August, eight months.
I used the guides here to complete the forms and learned much from other posting along with the Mods guidance.

Hi ukLee
Absolutely delighted to hear that you have been awarded your enhanced PIP award. Great news. Now you have to concentrate on keeping safe.

one query. the decision letter States (para phasing) we will contact you while getting PIP to see if your needs have changed, to look at the amount you get. This will be after 20 Jan 2025. Does that mean they will leave me alone until then.
I presume they can review at anytime.

Hi ukLee
Delighted to hear your news. It is true that PIP can contact claimants whenever they like, but as it stands at the moment they probably won't before 2025.

Congratulations on your award! Can I ask if your award was exactly the same as what the assessor’s report recommended or slightly better? I’m waiting for my decision and I feel I will lose my current award by a margin.

I look at the accessors report and counted how many points I should receive for the descriptors and made it 14. The DWP PIP made it 14.
The report from the accessor was not a true reflection of my situation. What really annoys me is when I was invited ( like I had any choice) to transfer from DLA to PIP I attached 2 reports from 2 independent social workers as the local authority provide money for carers. alone with a letter from the doctor. It would appear the decision is based on the accessor report and very little notice his taken in any report mailed in by the claimant
I know it said a million times here, I cannot express the stress caused by the long drawn-out window it takes for the DWP to come to a decision, it cruel at best.
I wish you all the best and very much hope your decision is in your favour.
